Oct. 6 is the first International #2FactorTuesday, an effort led by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the FIDO Alliance designed to raise international awareness for two-factor authentication as a means of enhancing the security of online accounts. This initiative comes at a great time – during National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), which aims to provide all digital citizens with the resources they need to be safer and more secure online.
You can get involved during #2FactorTuesday in a number of ways:
Turn on two-factor authentication, and share that you took action by posting “I turned on #2FA in support of #2FactorTuesday! #CyberAware” along with one of these badges on social media. Download these and other memes here.
Don’t miss @STOPTHNKCONNECT’s Twitter chat in support of #2FactorTuesday at 11 a.m. EDT/8 a.m. PDT. Use #ChatSTC to join!
Join us at our International #2FactorTuesday event at Google DC at 1:30 p.m. EDT. If you can’t make the event in person, you can watch it live on NCSA’s YouTube channel.
