In support of week 2 of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) partnered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Council of Better Business Bureaus (BBB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to host a webinar on Oct. 8 on creating a culture of cybersecurity at work.
The webinar – featuring Kelvin Coleman, branch chief, government engagement, cybersecurity & communications, DHS; Bill Fanelli, chief security officer, BBB; Michael Kaiser, executive director, NCSA and Jessica Lyon, attorney, FTC Division of Privacy and Identity Protection – discussed the security landscape for businesses, highlighted resources and programs available to help businesses establish cultures of cybersecurity and answered audience questions.
Businesses looking to strengthen their cybersecurity can utilize several resources, including the FTC’s Start With Security guide, the BBB’s cybersecurity tools and DHS’ Critical Infrastructure Cyber Community Voluntary Program (C3).
This was NCSA’s first webinar and was a great success; more than 300 people tuned in to the presentation. Thank you to everyone who participated! If you missed the webinar, you can still view and/or download the full session and presentation deck.
