AboutRE: Cyber is an initiative dedicated to chief executive officer (CEO) and board cybersecurity risk management. The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and Business Executives for National Security (BENS), both nonpartisan nonprofit organizations, collaborated to develop RE: Cyber after realizing that leaders of small and medium-sized companies often lack the resources and tools to protect against the ever-changing cyber threat. The purpose of this webpage is to supply CEOs and boards with tools to ascertain the cyber risk to their own companies and to devise a plan to mitigate and better manage their cyber risk. This webpage should serve as a first stop for CEOs and boards to find cybersecurity information tailored for them, links to the latest guidance and additional resources. The ultimate goal of the initiative is the inclusion of cybersecurity in enterprise risk management at the CEO and board level. By managing cybersecurity risk, CEOs and board members can do their part to protect their companies, protect our nation’s economic future and support our national defense establishment.
